In this intimate 60-minute set, singer-songwriter Laura Wyatt performs stripped-back versions of songs by artists such as Carole King, Alicia Keys, KT Tunstall, Corinne Bailey Rae, and others who inspired her to pick up a guitar and find her own voice. The show comes full circle with original songs by Laura Wyatt that owe their existence to the extraordinary women in her record collection, whose artistry continues to be inspirational.
Songbirds premiered in Colchester earlier this year to a warmly appreciative audience, many of whom noted that Laura’s own songs stood confidently alongside the classics.
