Buckle up for a diesel-fuelled new musical through the lives and lanes of four lady truckers.
Meet Rhonda, a long-haul veteran who can haul just about anything - except her own worries, Tiffany, a rookie with a vlog and an opinion on everything and Cherry and Joy, a wife-and-wife trucking team discovering that even true love sometimes needs more than eight feet of space.
Keeping everyone company through the night is Marcia, radio host supreme, dispensing weather reports, profound wisdom and just enough company to make the miles feel shorter.
Taking in a night drive of diners, questionable coffee, country music and a whole lot of tater tots, Mother Trucker is a funny, feisty musical about the miles we drive - and the people we carry with us, whether we mean to or not.
Mother Trucker has been developed by award-winning composer and writer Anna Pool. Fully-Loaded with some of the East's most talented performers including Soophia Foroughi, Mia Jerome, Jaimie Pruden and Megan Ellis, the show is commissioned by Spitalfields Festival and PRS Foundation and has been supported by Slung Low, Mercury Theatre, Eastern Angles and Arts Council England.
