Mr. Bloom is a show without words told through music and the art of mime.
A voice-over goes along the audience during the weird day of the protagonist, that starts in the morning with a noisy alarm clock and continues with his boring everyday job.
However, in this repetitive life, fantasy makes its way: Mr. Bloom dreams a different future, he dreams to be the protagonist of his life, and through imagination he moves away from his boring reality to become from time to time a great goalkeeper, a famous pianist or a bungling chef.
The voice-over reminds to the audience the many dreams of Mr. Bloom and encourages our hero to fulfil them by performing all the characters.
The protagonist then will come up against a rough reality, difficult to face at the beginning. But in the end he will discover that even in reality you can find happiness, smiles and a little bit of poetry...
This show is a tribute to two great artists of the past, Charlie Chaplin and Jacques Tati, who have outlined their most famous characters through humour and poetry as well, making their “Tramp” and “Monsieur Hulot” immortal.
